Hello neighbors! I’m Gustavo Valbuena, owner of The Glass Guru of Humble since 2023.
I grew up in the Maracaibo, Venezuela area, went to Colegio Claret High School and then college at Northrop University in Los Angeles, CA where I graduated with a degree in Engineering and later received my MBA from Universidad Rafael Urdaneta back home in Venezuela.
Prior to The Glass Guru, I gained valuable experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Project Manager, and Project Director. I started The Glass Guru because I enjoy meeting people and wanted to have a positive impact on my community. What attracted me to this business was being able to generate employment, financial independence for my family and offer the best quality of service. I am extremely proud of being able to provide the best solutions and pricing to our customers.
Outside of work, I enjoy going fishing, watching an Astros game, and bowling. My wife of 34 years, Ana, and I have two kids named Ana and Gustavo. On weekends you might find me/us at home relaxing or fixing stuff around the house.
I believe in continuous improvement and will be working on doing things better and better for our customers. It’s a great honor and privilege to have the opportunity to serve you and we hope to be the local glass shop you can trust and rely on for many years to come.
