The Glass Guru Enterprises, Inc. (“TGGE,” “The Glass Guru,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how TGGE collects, uses, discloses, retains, and otherwise processes Personal Information in connection with www.theglassguru.com and other websites, webpages, forms, portals, digital features, and online services operated by or on behalf of TGGE that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Site”).

This Privacy Policy also explains choices and rights that may be available to you. Additional information about U.S. state privacy rights is provided on our Your Privacy Rights page, which supplements this Privacy Policy and is incorporated into our privacy disclosures by reference.

This Privacy Policy is a notice of our privacy practices. It is not intended to obtain consent where applicable law requires separate affirmative consent. Where consent is required for a particular processing activity, we will request it separately as appropriate.

2. SCOPE OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy applies to Personal Information processed by TGGE through the Site and through related interactions with TGGE where this Privacy Policy is provided or referenced, including requests for information, franchise inquiries, communications, surveys, events, and other TGGE-administered activities.

This Privacy Policy does not automatically apply to websites, applications, systems, or business operations independently controlled by an independently owned and operated The Glass Guru franchisee or by an unaffiliated third party. Those entities may have their own privacy notices and practices.

We may provide additional or supplemental privacy notices at or before particular collection points. If a supplemental notice applies to a specific interaction, it should be read together with this Privacy Policy.

3. TGGE AND INDEPENDENTLY OWNED FRANCHISE LOCATIONS

The Glass Guru franchise system consists of independently owned and operated franchise businesses. TGGE is the franchisor and does not itself perform the local glass, window, door, shower, mirror, screen, installation, repair, replacement, or other field services provided by independently owned franchise locations.

When you use the Site to request local services or information, TGGE may collect and route information to the independently owned franchise location serving or located near the applicable area. The franchisee may then process that information for its own business purposes, including responding to the request, preparing an estimate, scheduling, providing services, communicating with you, processing payments, administering warranties, and maintaining business records.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, TGGE and a franchisee may each act as a separate business or controller with respect to Personal Information each independently determines to process. This Privacy Policy describes TGGE’s practices and does not make TGGE responsible for privacy practices independently determined by a franchisee.

4. PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

The Personal Information we collect depends on how you interact with us, the Site features you use, and the information necessary for the applicable purpose.

A. Information You Provide Directly

Identifiers and contact information, such as name, postal address, email address, telephone number, and similar contact details.

Communications and feedback, such as questions, correspondence, survey responses, comments, suggestions, accessibility requests, complaints, and other information you provide when communicating with us.
Marketing and communication preferences, including email or text-message preferences and records of consent, opt-out, or revocation where applicable.
Transaction-related information, where applicable, such as information associated with payments, purchases, programs, or transactions. Payment-card or financial information may be collected directly by a payment processor or other provider rather than stored by TGGE.

B. Information Collected Automatically

When you visit or use the Site, TGGE and service providers or other parties acting in connection with the Site may automatically collect information through cookies, pixels, tags, software development kits, local storage, log files, and similar technologies. This information may include:

pages or content viewed, links clicked, referring and exit pages, dates and times of visits, and navigation activity;

independently owned The Glass Guru franchisees;
service providers, technology vendors, marketing and advertising providers, analytics providers, lead-generation sources, and business partners;
social-media platforms and review platforms when you interact with us through those services or make information available to us;
publicly available sources and business or professional directories;
franchise brokers, referral sources, or franchise-development partners in connection with franchise inquiries; and
other persons or entities that you direct or authorize to provide information to us.

5. SENSITIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION

Certain information may be treated as sensitive Personal Information or sensitive personal data under applicable law. TGGE does not seek to collect sensitive information through general Site forms unless it is reasonably necessary for a disclosed purpose.

Please do not submit Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, account passwords, financial-account credentials, medical or health information, biometric information, precise geolocation, or other unnecessary sensitive information through general contact, quote, message, or chat fields.

If TGGE processes sensitive Personal Information in circumstances requiring consent, a right to limit use, or another special treatment under applicable law, we will provide the required notice, consent mechanism, or privacy choice as applicable.

7. HOW WE DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION

TGGE may disclose Personal Information to the following categories of recipients, depending on the interaction and purpose:

A. Independently Owned Franchisees

We may disclose service requests, contact information, location information, project details, communications, and related information to independently owned The Glass Guru franchise locations so they can respond to inquiries, provide estimates, schedule or perform services, communicate with consumers, and administer their independent customer relationships.

B. Service Providers and Processors

We may disclose Personal Information to vendors and service providers that perform services for or on behalf of TGGE, such as website hosting, cloud services, information technology, cybersecurity, analytics, communications, customer support, call or lead routing, email and text-message delivery, document management, payment processing, professional services, and other business-support functions. These providers may process information subject to contractual or legal obligations applicable to their role.

C. Advertising, Analytics, and Marketing Partners

We may disclose or make available identifiers, device information, Internet or other electronic network activity, approximate location information, and information about Site interactions to analytics, advertising, social-media, and marketing providers. Technologies used in connection with the Site may include, depending on current configuration, tools associated with Google, Meta/Facebook, Yelp, and other analytics or advertising providers.

Under some U.S. state privacy laws, certain disclosures for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or processing for “targeted advertising,” even when no money is exchanged. Where applicable, TGGE provides the right to opt out through Your Privacy Choices and recognizes qualifying universal opt-out mechanisms or opt-out preference signals as required by law.

D. Professional Advisors and Legal or Governmental Recipients

We may disclose information to attorneys, accountants, auditors, insurers, consultants, regulators, law-enforcement agencies, courts, governmental authorities, or other persons where reasonably necessary for professional advice, compliance, legal process, investigations, safety, security, or the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal rights.

E. Business Transactions

9. SALE, SHARING, AND TARGETED ADVERTISING

TGGE does not sell Personal Information for money in the ordinary sense of the word. However, as described above, the Site may use advertising, analytics, social-media, or similar technologies that disclose or make available certain identifiers and Internet or electronic network activity to other businesses for advertising or marketing purposes.

Some state privacy laws define “sale” or “sharing” broadly enough to include certain of these activities, or separately regulate processing for targeted advertising. To the extent such activities constitute sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under applicable law, eligible consumers may opt out through our Your Privacy Choices mechanism.

TGGE does not knowingly sell or share Personal Information of consumers under 16 in circumstances requiring affirmative authorization under applicable law.

10. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

The Site may use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, analytics technologies, advertising technologies, and similar tools. These technologies may support Site operation, remember preferences, understand Site usage, measure performance, detect fraud or security issues, and support advertising or marketing.

We generally group these technologies into categories such as Necessary, Functional, Analytics, and Advertising/Targeting. The categories and technologies actually available may change as the Site and vendors change.

Where applicable law requires TGGE to recognize a qualifying universal opt-out mechanism or opt-out preference signal, TGGE will process qualifying signals as required by law. Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) is an example of an opt-out preference signal recognized in certain jurisdictions.

A qualifying signal may apply to the browser or device from which the signal is sent. If you use multiple browsers or devices, you may need to enable the signal or exercise the applicable choice on each browser or device. Where permitted and technically feasible, we may provide a way to associate an opt-out preference with additional information you voluntarily provide.

12. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

Depending on your state of residence and applicable law, you may have rights concerning Personal Information, which may include rights to confirm processing; access or know; obtain a portable copy; correct; delete; obtain information about certain third parties; opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling; limit certain uses of sensitive Personal Information; withdraw consent; appeal a decision concerning a privacy request; and receive non-discriminatory treatment for exercising privacy rights.

Rights vary by state and are subject to statutory definitions, exceptions, verification requirements, and applicability thresholds. 13. CALIFORNIA NOTICE AT COLLECTION AND ADDITIONAL CALIFORNIA DISCLOSURES

For California consumers, the categories of Personal Information we may collect, the purposes for which we collect or use those categories, and the categories of recipients to whom information may be disclosed are described in Sections 4, 6, 7, and 8 of this Privacy Policy. We do not collect additional categories of Personal Information or use Personal Information for materially different, unrelated, or incompatible purposes without providing notice as required by law.

The length of time we retain each category of Personal Information depends on the criteria described in Section 17 below. We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary and proportionate for the disclosed purposes, subject to legal, operational, security, dispute, and recordkeeping requirements.

As described in Section 9, certain advertising or analytics activities may constitute “sale” or “sharing” under California law. California consumers may exercise applicable opt-out rights through Your Privacy Choices. If TGGE uses or discloses Sensitive Personal Information for purposes that trigger a right to limit under California law, TGGE will provide the required method to exercise that right.

14. COMMUNICATIONS, EMAIL, AND TEXT MESSAGES

If you provide contact information in connection with an inquiry, transaction, franchise opportunity, service request, or other relationship, TGGE and/or an applicable independently owned franchise location may use that information to respond and provide transactional, service-related, or relationship communications.

Where permitted by law and consistent with applicable choices, you may also receive marketing or promotional communications. You may opt out of marketing email by using the unsubscribe mechanism in the message or another method we make available.

Where you separately consent to text messages, the consent disclosure presented at the point of collection governs the applicable text-message program. Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchasing goods or services. You may revoke applicable text-message consent through reasonable methods recognized by law, including replying STOP where supported.

SMS opt-in information and consent will not be sold or disclosed to third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. This restriction does not prohibit disclosure to service providers that help deliver or administer the messaging program or disclosures otherwise required or permitted by law.

15. CHILDREN AND MINORS

The Site is a general-audience commercial website and is not directed to children under 13. TGGE does not knowingly collect Personal Information online directly from children under 13 in circumstances requiring verifiable parental consent under the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”).

Children under 13 should not submit Personal Information through the Site. If we learn that we collected Personal Information online directly from a child under 13 in circumstances subject to COPPA, we will take appropriate steps to delete or otherwise handle the information in accordance with applicable law.

Certain state laws provide additional protections for minors, including restrictions concerning sale, sharing, targeted advertising, profiling, or consent. TGGE will apply such protections where required by applicable law. We do not knowingly sell or share Personal Information of consumers under 16 in circumstances requiring affirmative authorization.

16. DATA SECURITY

TGGE uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect Personal Information based on the nature and sensitivity of the information and applicable requirements. Measures may include access controls, authentication, security monitoring, vendor controls, encryption or other protections where appropriate, and incident-response practices.

No website, transmission, network, or information-storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should use reasonable care when transmitting information online and should not send unnecessary sensitive information through general Site forms or communications.

17. DATA RETENTION

TGGE retains Personal Information for no longer than reasonably necessary and proportionate for the purposes for which it was collected or processed, subject to applicable law.

Retention periods or criteria may vary based on the type of information and context. In determining retention, we may consider the duration of the relationship or inquiry; whether information is needed to provide requested services or administer a program; legal, tax, accounting, franchise, employment, or recordkeeping requirements; applicable limitation periods; dispute or litigation needs; fraud prevention and security; consent or privacy choices; and whether information can be deleted, deidentified, or aggregated.

Where applicable law requires disclosure of a specific retention period or criteria for a category of Personal Information, TGGE will provide that information in the applicable notice or collection context.

18. DEIDENTIFIED AND AGGREGATED INFORMATION

TGGE may create or use aggregated or deidentified information that is not reasonably linkable to an identified or identifiable individual, subject to applicable law. We may use such information for analytics, planning, research, security, business improvement, benchmarking, and other lawful purposes.

Where required by applicable law, TGGE will maintain deidentified information in deidentified form, will not attempt to reidentify it except as permitted by law, and will take reasonable measures or contractual steps required for recipients of such information.

19. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES, PLATFORMS, AND SERVICES

The Site may link to or integrate with websites, applications, social-media platforms, review sites, maps, scheduling tools, financing providers, payment processors, chat tools, or other services operated by third parties. Those third parties may collect or process Personal Information under their own privacy notices and terms.

TGGE does not control the independent privacy practices of third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy notice applicable to a third-party service before providing Personal Information through it.

20. AUTOMATED TOOLS, CHAT, AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

The Site may use chat functionality, virtual assistants, automated tools, artificial-intelligence-enabled functionality, or similar technologies for general questions, navigation, routing, scheduling, analytics, or other business purposes.

Information submitted through such tools may be processed by TGGE and service providers that support the functionality, subject to this Privacy Policy, applicable notices, and applicable law. Do not submit unnecessary sensitive, confidential, privileged, health, financial-account, or government-identification information through general chat functionality.

Where applicable law requires notice, consent, an opt-out, access rights, or other protections relating to profiling or automated decisionmaking technology, TGGE will provide the applicable disclosures or controls.

21. INTERNATIONAL USERS AND DATA LOCATION

TGGE is located in the United States, and the Site is primarily intended for a U.S. audience. Personal Information may be processed or stored in the United States or other locations in which TGGE or its service providers operate.

If you access the Site from outside the United States, privacy and data-protection laws in your jurisdiction may differ from U.S. law. This Privacy Policy is designed primarily for U.S. operations and does not represent that the Site is intended to offer goods, services, or franchise opportunities in every jurisdiction.

22. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, services, vendors, legal requirements, or other circumstances. The “Last Updated” date at the top identifies the most recent revision.

Where applicable law requires additional notice or consent for a material change in processing, we will provide that notice or obtain consent as required. We will not use a policy update to retroactively obtain consent where applicable law requires separate affirmative consent.
