Hello neighbors! I’m Ted Green, owner of The Glass Guru of East Birmingham since 2020.
I grew up in Auburn, NY, went to Port Byron High School, and then college at the State University of NY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse, NY where I graduated with a degree in Environmental Biology in 1996. I now reside in Pell City, Alabama since 2016. Prior to The Glass Guru, I gained valuable experience in customer service and business management as I ran various pharmaceutical research businesses for over 20 years.
I started The Glass Guru because I enjoy meeting new people and wanted to have the ability to grow something from the start. What attracted me to The Glass Guru was the infrastructure already in place and the proven business model that allowed me to get up and operate very quickly. I am extremely proud of providing a needed service to the community and helping people solve their problems. What I like most about this business is working with our customers and their dogs.
Outside of work, I enjoy bass fishing and time on the lake. My spouse Amy of 26 years, and I have a daughter named Allyson, 23, and a Golden Retriever named Josie. On weekends you might find us on the lake weather permitting.
It’s a great honor and privilege to have the opportunity to serve you and we hope to be the local glass shop you can trust and rely on for many years to come.
