Hello neighbors! I’m Ben Smith, owner of The Glass Guru of Baton Rouge since 2010.

I grew up in the Denham Springs area, went to Denham Springs High School, and then college at Southeastern Louisiana University where I graduated with a degree in business administration. Prior to The Glass Guru, I gained valuable experience in customer service, sales, and business management selling construction equipment at John Deere. I also have experience framing and remodeling houses.

I started The Glass Guru because I enjoy meeting people and helping people and wanted to have a positive impact on my community. What attracted me to The Glass Guru was the business model which allows me to operate independently yet provides great support. What I like most about this business is that I have the freedom to spend time with my family while making a living.

Outside of work, I enjoy coaching kids’ teams, working out and volunteering at church, or simply just spending time with family. My wife Robyn McCoy Smith of 16 years and I have three kids, Andi, Grady, and Olli Kate as well as a GoldenDoodle named Theo, a German Shepard named Brutus, and two African Sulcata tortoises. On weekends you might find us at a kids sporting event, riding ATVs or mountain bikes, or at church hanging out with family.

It’s a great honor and privilege to have the opportunity to serve you and we hope to be the local glass shop you can trust and rely on for many years to come.
