The Glass Guru welcomed the organization’s newest franchise owner in the month of April. Mr. Scott Tatum completed his initial franchise training at The Glass Guru’s company headquarters in Roseville, CA on April 12, 2019. Upon his return from training, Mr. Tatum is focused on completing the final steps of ramping up his franchise, The Glass Guru of Chattanooga, TN. After pursuing his degree in Marketing from Auburn University, Tatum pursued a career in Sales, including radio and media ad sales.. Tatum also has his hands in the real estate world, purchasing, remodeling, and flipping residential properties. Scott’s sales experience, rounded out with his experience with remodeling made The Glass Guru seem like a perfect fit for Tatum. Scott Tatum and his Chattanooga location is now one of three franchise locations that The Glass Guru has in TN, with the other two being Knoxville and Memphis
“What led me to consider The Glass Guru as a business opportunity, and what ultimately drove my decision to move forward was meeting The Glass Guru Corporate team.“ says Tatum. “What’s exciting me the most about opening the franchise is being my own boss”
With the initial franchise training out of the way, and his franchise coming out of the starting blocks, Tatum reflected on what he liked best about the pre-launch process. “The face-to-face interaction (with the Corporate team) was great!” say Tatum. “If I look forward two years from now, I see myself in the Estimating role, with at least two Installation Technicians (to handle the fulfillment side of things.)”
“We are really excited to see yet another franchise location in Tennessee. It’s a state that has very little barrier to entry for home service businesses, and has a business-friendly environment.” says The Glass Guru’s Founder and CEO, Mr. Dan Frey.
In the meantime, Scott is anxious to begin serving customers with all of their glass restoration, repair, and replacement needs. His new franchise location will serve Chattanooga, and the surrounding areas.
