Hello neighbors! We are Valarie and Michael Gomm, owners of The Glass Guru of Wichita.
Like so many of you, our careers brought us to Wichita for what we thought was a brief stop. 25+ years, 3 children, and 1 grandchild later, we’re still here. We love life in the ICT!
Throughout our previous careers, we admired our peers and friends that were business owners. While being a business owner has its own challenges, the freedom of making your own decisions, never worrying about layoffs, and always being able to do the right thing for your customers and yourself. Several years back we found the right opportunity to match our skills and experience with a business concept we felt was needed in our growing market. The Glass Guru of Wichita was born, and we are extremely pleased with how our team has established its value-driven, high-touch, high-customer service niche in the professional window & glass community.
One of our slogans at The Glass Guru is to be “Clearly Different.” If you asked all those 5-star rating customers of ours what stood out about us, a recurring theme you’ll hear is that we take the time to educate them on what’s going on and what their options are. We make recommendations but never have a hard sell agenda. We even coach clients on how to do certain simpler glass & window repairs themselves, then ask them to give us a call in a year or two when the professional level work is required.
In our free time, we enjoy time with our family as well as networking and socializing at events and professional mixers throughout the area. The Wichita dining and social scene is great fun! Date nights usually consist of hitting up a local happy hour and talking shop. Typically, you’ll find us sitting at the bar because of the increased interaction with staff and other patrons.
