Dan and Rachell Cook,
Owners

We are excited to introduce ourselves to the East Minneapolis community! We are Dan and Rachell Cook, the proud owners of The Glass Guru in Duluth, Minnesota.
We opened our first Glass Guru (Duluth) in 2016 with a focus on happy customers. We found having happy customers to be an extremely rewarding and gratifying experience. It soon became a passion that we both shared. The development of a family business was just as important, and The Glass Guru has always been supportive.
Our son Tristan has worked with us since the age of 16 and has now grown into the Designated Manager for Duluth, while our son-in-law is the lead glazier. We embrace “Minnesota nice,” and naturally, we knew our next location would be the beautiful city of Minneapolis. Minneapolis provides the perfect opportunity for us to continue our most important passion: Happy Customers.
When not working to achieve happy customers, we enjoy sailing, ballroom dancing, traveling, and spending time with our family (including our Maine Coon, Tobias). We look forward to meeting you and to providing everything The Glass Guru has to offer. See you soon!
FAQs
What should I do while waiting for glass repair?
If glass is broken, avoid the area to prevent injury. Cover openings with plastic or board if possible to protect against weather and security risks. Contact us promptly to schedule repair.
Do you offer financing options?
Financing availability varies. Ask about current options when you receive your quote.
Can energy-efficient glass really reduce my utility bills?
Yes. Properly installed insulated and low-e glass reduces heat transfer, helping maintain indoor temperatures and reducing the workload on heating and cooling systems.
What is safety glass and when is it required?
Safety glass, including tempered and laminated types, is designed to reduce injury risk if broken. Building codes require safety glass in specific locations such as doors, showers, and low windows.
How do I contact you for service?
Call us directly or submit a request through our website. We respond promptly to all inquiries.
