last week I had a company come out to give us an estimate on repairing a sliding patio door that was leaking air between panels. they said we needed a new interlock and quoted a price of $300. today we had the Glass Guru come ou to give us a quote. after looking it over he decided that the interlock was not interlocking. Because the new glass was slightly heavier than the original, one of the windows was sliding down when unlocked. The office provided guidance on how to secure the window with plexiglass until the replacement arrived. The only concern was the amount of time it took the glass to arrive but this was not within their control, it was a supply chain issue which is impacting many things these days.
