New Construction Windows

New construction windows typically have a nail fin that is made to be nailed or screwed into the wooden studs of your home. All other exterior materials are then applied and butted up to the existing window frame or trim.

New construction windows can also be used in a replacement project but the exterior windows and other materials, such as window trim (if it exists), siding, stucco, or flashing, have to be removed to expose the wood studs. The new window style is then installed as it would have been when the home was originally built.
