Jon Connor,
Owner
Chris Chambers and Jon Conner are proud lifelong Memphians with a shared passion for serving their community. In 2016, they founded The Glass Guru of Memphis with a simple but powerful goal: to provide a customer-first glass service company that Memphis could count on.
Chris brings a strong foundation in construction and service—skills passed down through generations. He grew up learning the trade from his father and grandfather, both respected home builders. With a lifetime in the industry, Chris has an eye for quality, craftsmanship, and delivering a service experience that makes customers feel truly taken care of.
Jon Conner was raised right here in the Memphis area and is a graduate of FACS High School. He went on to further his education at SWTCC before proudly serving with the Memphis Police Department. Jon spent eight years in MPD patrol, gaining invaluable people skills and a deep appreciation for what it means to serve a community. That same passion led him to launch The Glass Guru, where he could continue making a positive impact—this time, through entrepreneurship.
“What attracted me to The Glass Guru brand was the cutting-edge marketing, technology, and the chance to build something meaningful,” Jon says. “I enjoy meeting people and I’m incredibly proud of how far we’ve come as a team.”
Outside of work, Jon enjoys all things water-related. Since 2007, he and his wife Elena have raised their son Cameron, and they share their home with two lovable Goldendoodles, Hartley and Teddy. Weekends often find Jon enjoying quality time with his family at home.
Together, Chris and Jon have built The Glass Guru of Memphis on a foundation of trust, service, and local pride. It’s an honor and privilege to serve our neighbors, and we hope to be the glass shop you rely on for years to come.
