"A bit pricey and took a week to get an estimator 2 weeks for them to get glass and 2 weeks to schedule to install. Pretty crazy but maybe there’s a glass shortage or the privacy glass for my shower was strange and hard to source? A couple other places I called couldn’t even get someone out for a couple weeks so… maybe it’s just one of the many problems in San Diego county.
When the glass was eventually installed, it was done quickly, cleanly, professionally and perfect."
"Great communication, kept all timelines and fair value. Loved working with them."
"We purchased a glass panel for our new shower from Glass Guru. The whole process was very smooth from estimate to install. We felt like the value was good and customer service was top notch."
"My visit to The Glass Guru was to get a glass replacement for our damaged outside lamp. This glass was shattered by a golf ball hitting one of our side lamps facing the street. Our lamp is 209 yards from the tee and 56 yards away from the Fairway's boundary. I suspect the golfer thinks they need to make holes where they can. We believe golfers should use the Fairway's cup hole.
I found the Glass Guru on Google, and when there, their ability to listen, take notes and determine the availability of bubble glass was easy and quick. The bubble glass we needed resembles how glass looked a long time ago.
Bubble glass got its name because it shows a lot of bubbles. The outside surface of bubble glass is an uneven wavey surface that shows bubbles. The overall color of this glass is a translucent yellow color that creates an antique appearance.
The cost of bubble glass made was too high to keep the antique effect. So, I decided to use clear annealed glass to keep the cost down, making the replacement stronger. The outside lamp has the glass they cut for us, and it in where the shattered glass had been.
The Glass Guru is a family business. Their specialty is repairing or replacing failed insulated dual-pane glass units. Their approach uses a process to remove the moisture and prevent it from coming back. Repaired dual-pain units have a 10-year warranty at the cost of around 50% of the price of a new dual-pane unit.
Our discussions about their other work mentioned they offer shower enclosures, wardrobe doors, mirrors, frames, flat glass products for tabletops and shelves, etc.
Finding The glass Guru in Carlsbad was a little tricky. Our Odyssey GPS can get us to the street without problems. When the GPS reported "Destination" at the first building on the left, I didn't see a sign or an entrance at the first location on the left side of Sea Lion Place. There is a parking lot entrance on the left to drive around to the back of the building. I followed that driveway path and found the 109 Suite. There is ample easy parking."

"Laura is a real pro. She saved me a lot of money with her advice and experience. She showed me that I could save a window that looked to me like it needed replacement. Very honest. Some of the bids I received from other local window and glass installers were on the average twice as expensive!! The installer Shane has 11 years working for them and did a excellent job with the glass preparation and install. This"
"They did a great job replacing our fogged windows. They looked great and were reasonably priced so we called them back to have a few more done. Also they were VERY accommodating when we delayed our installation appointment for a year because of COVID after they had ordered the windows."
"I am a Realtor and had a listing that needed some windows repaired. They were very responsive to our needs, as time is of the essence in a real estate transaction, this was very important. They followed through and met all their commitments. I will most certainly use them again!"
"I had two glass shelves made for a vintage 1950s sideboard made and they came out great. Good service and great people to work with."
"Super friendly people and great service"
