Hello neighbors! I’m Sherilynne DeMaio, owner of The Glass Guru of Carlsbad since 2012. I grew up in the Massachusetts area, went to Colonial High School in Orlando, Florida, and then college at the University of Central Florida where I graduated with a degree in Education.
Prior to The Glass Guru, I gained valuable experience in business ownership, restoration, and DIYing as in so many roles. From being a VP at a national bank, then I ran a business and later founded and directed a charity. After receiving my degree, I taught. With more twists and turns in insurance brokerage, I ended up joining my sister at The Glass Guru.
I took over The Glass Guru because I enjoy meeting people and wanted to have a positive impact on my community. I am extremely proud of growing a great team and watching our excellent reputation grow.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading and gardening. I have two amazing adult children, one dog, three grand kitties, and a soon-to-be son-in-law. On weekends you might find me exploring mountain trails or checking out local events and venues.
It’s a great honor and privilege to have the opportunity to serve you and we hope to be the local glass shop you can trust and rely on for many years to come.
