The Glass Guru welcomed the organization’s newest franchise owner in late December. Mr. Corey Garvin completed his initial franchise training at The Glass Guru’s USA headquarters in Roseville, CA on December 21, 2018. Upon his return from training, Corey is focused on completing the final steps of ramping up his franchise, The Glass Guru of Torrance, CA. After pursuing his college education with a concentration on English, Corey found himself in the window and glass industry. Over the years, he built up extensive extensive industry experience, with over 18 years in sales with a vinyl window manufacturer in Southern California. Asked why he decided to take the plunge into business ownership, Corey states “I really wanted to start my own business in my industry. After doing some research, I found The Glass Guru”. I’m really excited about the concept of business ownership, and having control over my own success, as well as working with great partners (The Glass Guru)” With the initial franchise training out of the way, and his franchise coming out of the starting blocks, Cory reflected on what he liked best about the pre-launch process. “While it was a lot of new info with the systems setup and startup steps, the support I got from Corporate was great!” states Garvin. “I envision having my Torrance location running smoothly, profitably, and fully staffed in about two years. I will be working on opening location number two!” In the meantime, Corey is anxious to begin serving customers with all of their glass restoration, repair, and replacement needs. His new franchise location will serve Torrance, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, Lawndale, and the surrounding areas.
